Overview of 2008
2008 was a good
year for us, we didn’t show much, or specialize any of our dogs, but 5 of our
dogs finished their championships. Eugenios Mrs
Robinson became a
Norwegian, Danish, Finnish & Nordic Champion, at her first show after becoming a
champion she won the breed and was placed 3rd in the Group. After that she’s had
a break from the rings but will return in Europe in 2009.

Topaasin Bling Bling finished her Norwegian championship the day after Ninni, at that show she was beaten in the
bitch class by Ninni, the rest of the times she was unbeaten in the bitch class
in Norway and ended up as #3 Ig of the year, very sparingly shown.

Next up was Twan-San-Yen Magical Luciana, she got her championship in style by going BOB
over her brother Twan-San-Yen Magical Raffaello, this was their first chance to
get their championship and they got it, side by side. Lucy went Group 4 that
day. Raffaello has gotten his swedish championship as well. Lucy was not
shown more, she was mated in october and had a lovely litter of 3 in the end of
december.
Elmo, Strippoker’s Schøne Blaue Donau, had a ruff year, when he had gotten 2
cac’s and not gotten the qualifying cac at some show he broke his leg and was
out of the showrings for the next 6 months.

Elmo going BOS to IG of the year
But he got the
best vet in Norway to fix his leg and it’s healed beautifully and at his first
try, after the leg break he got the cac and finished his norwegian championship.
He has been very sparingly shown duet o the leg break, but he’ll come out in the
Netherlands in 2009 to finish what was started there, the road to his Dutch
championship!

Talata Nox
had a great year, she did some lure coursing, had a very nice litter of puppies,
sired by Joey, and only 11 weeks after giving birth to 5 puppies she was BOB and
got the qualifying cac to finish her norwegian championship. She, like the
others, hasn’t been shown since, you’re more likely to see her in the lure
coursing fields and on the racing track in 2009.

Joey’s
offspring have got old enough to become champions and he is now the proud sire of
4 champions, with several more just lacking the last cac. His daugther Eugenios Posh Spice is also qualified for Crufts in 2009. Joey is #1 stud Ig of the year!
Elmo’s daugther Strippoker’s So Posh finished her Dutch junior championship and his
daugther Biscotti Mademoiselle debuted in the puppyring going BOB and
BIB-2 puppy. Her brother Biscotti Marcello has been doing very well as a
puppy as well with BOB and Group placement.
We imported 1
male from the US, American Champion Alfheim’s All Things Considered. We
met his breeder and his parents when we went to the Italian Greyhounds Nationals
in 2006 and Margret fell head over heals in love. When she later saw that they
planned on breeding Karl & Edda she knew she had to get one of those pups and
luckily Ira was born, and was solid coloured enough to come to Europe. We are
very excited about having him here and can’t wait to see what he will bring into
our lines.

Margret did
some handling for others in 2008, the highlight of the year being handling Ch
Portinbo’s Lille Gunda, a chinese crested, to Speciality Best In Show at the
World chinese crested speciality in Sweden.

She handled Ig
of the year, Dogcastle’s Leslie Blue Angel to BIS-3 at the Norwegian
sighthound club speciality and to BOB the day after on the Greyhoundclubs show.

She also
handled Eugenios Posh Spice to BOB at the crufts qualification show.
